Your organisation

What an Enterprise organisation is, how to set up its name, logo and contact details, how seats work, and how your members' projects relate to it.

An Enterprise organisation is one subscription shared by a team. The person who buys the Enterprise plan is its owner; everyone they add becomes a member with their own Measure Map Online account, linked to the organisation. Each member uses one seat, and the organisation's name and logo appear on every invitation, notification and member's dashboard.

Who manages the organisation#

  • The owner is the account that pays for the Enterprise plan. The owner always has full access, cannot be removed from the organisation, and their role cannot be changed.
  • Admins are members the owner has given the Admin role. They manage members, roles and teams alongside the owner, and can change the organisation's profile, policy and single sign-on. Only the owner can make someone an Admin or change an Admin, and only the owner changes the number of seats.

Only the owner and Admins see the Enterprise area. Other members work in their projects as usual; see members and roles for what each role can do.

Open the Enterprise area#

In the dashboard menu, under Advanced, press Enterprise. Its sections are listed beneath it:

On a phone the same sections appear as a row of tabs at the top of the page.

The organisation's products are not in this area: they are under Products in the main menu. See products.

Set up the organisation#

The first time the owner opens the Enterprise area, the app asks you to Set up your organization. An organisation needs a name and a logo before you can add people, because both appear on every invitation.

  1. Press Upload logo and choose an image of up to 2 MB. The app suggests a PNG or SVG at least 120 pixels wide.
  2. Type the Organization name.
  3. Press Continue.

Continue stays disabled until both are set. You can close the dialog and come back later, but the Enterprise sections stay hidden and people cannot be added until the setup is done. If an Admin opens the area first, they see the notice "Your organization owner still has to complete the organization profile."

Edit the organisation profile#

Open Profile to change what the organisation looks like to its members.

  • Identity: the logo, which you can replace with Change logo but not remove, and the Organization name.
  • Contact: Contact email, Website, Phone number and Address. The contact email is shown in the emails your members receive from the organisation, as the address to write to, instead of your personal one.
  • PDF reports: the Design your members' PDF reports use unless they pick another; Members must use this design, so that everyone but the owner and Admins uses it; and a Note on every report, printed at the end of every report, such as a disclaimer or your terms.

Press Save. The new name and logo are copied to every member straight away: they appear in the bar at the top of each member's dashboard.

The PDF reports your members make always carry the organisation's logo and contact details. Only the owner and Admins can leave them out. See PDF report settings.

Seats#

Your Enterprise subscription pays for a number of seats. Each member uses one; the owner does not. The Users page shows how many are in use, for example "4/5 seats".

  • A person you invite who has no account yet takes a seat as soon as their account is created, even before they sign in for the first time.
  • A person who already has an account takes a seat only when they accept the request to join.
  • Unlinking or deleting a member frees their seat.

When every seat is taken, Invite is disabled and the owner sees Add seats, which opens the seats of your subscription. If your subscription is set to add a seat automatically, the invite panel warns you that sending the invitation adds one seat and charges for it. See seats.

Members and their projects#

Each member's projects belong to their own account, as they would on any plan. The organisation adds to that:

  • The owner, Admins and Managers can see every project in the organisation, the owner's included, and assign any of them to a team. On the Projects page, press  All organization projects to list the whole organisation's work in one view (see search, sort and filter), or open View projects from a member's row on the Users page.
  • The owner and Admins can move a member's projects to someone else with Transfer projects. See transfer a member's projects.
  • Assigning a project to a team gives everyone on the team access. See teams and territories.
  • Everyone in the organisation prices their work from the organisation's product list, which the owner, Admins and Managers can change. There is no personal list beside it. See products.

Someone who joins with an existing account keeps all their projects; their own subscription is cancelled, because the organisation's now covers them. Members do not have a Subscription page of their own.
