Activity log
See who did what in your organisation and when, filter and search it, and download it as a spreadsheet.
The activity log answers the questions an organisation gets asked: who deleted that project, when did this person become an Admin, was that invitation ever sent. Every entry says what happened, who did it and when.
Everyone has a log of their own actions. The organisation's owner and Admins can also see the whole organisation's.
Open the activity log#
- The organisation's log: Enterprise > Activity log. It opens on the organisation's entries.
- Your own log: in the dashboard menu, press Profile & account and choose the Activity log tab. See profile and security.
When you can see both, switch between them with My activity and Organization at the top of the log.
Who can see the organisation's log#
- The owner of the Enterprise plan, from the start, before anyone has joined.
- Members with the Admin role.
Managers, Members and Viewers see only their own actions.
What is recorded#
People and access
- Invitations: accounts created for new people, requests to join sent to existing accounts, invitations sent again, and requests taken back.
- Role changes, with the old and the new role, and other changes to a member's details.
- Suspensions and reactivations, passwords set by an Admin, and members signed out of all devices.
- Members unlinked from the organisation or deleted.
Sign-in and security
- Passwords changed, devices signed out, sign-in email changes, two-factor authentication turned on or off, and new recovery codes.
The organisation
- Changes to the organisation's profile, policy, teams and single sign-on, each saying which it was; for teams, the details name the teams added, renamed or removed. A save that changed nothing is not recorded.
- Changes to the number of seats. A seat added or removed along with a member is shown as done by "Automatic", with a note when the payment was declined or is waiting for the bank.
- Billing paused and resumed.
Work
- Projects created, renamed, duplicated, deleted, restored, transferred, shared, imported, exported, merged or cleared, a project's access level changed, and an earlier version put back.
- Folders created, renamed or deleted.
- Products created, changed, deleted or imported from a file.
When an invitation email could not be delivered, the entry says "Email not delivered", so you know to send it again.
Read an entry#
Each entry shows what happened and to whom, then "by" and the person who did it, and how long ago. Hold the pointer over the time to see the exact date and time. Where it helps, a second line gives the details: the old and new role, a project's old and new name, or the number of seats before and after.
Filter, search and download#
- Under Kind of activity, choose Members and invitations, Projects and folders, Sign-in and security or Organization, plan and products.
- Set From and To dates to see one period. Clear filters shows everything again.
- Type in Search activity… to keep only the entries that mention a name, an email or a kind of action.
- Press Spreadsheet (CSV) to download every entry that matches as a CSV file, with the date, the action, the person or item concerned, their email, who did it and the details.
The log shows 100 entries at a time, newest first: press Load more for older ones. The search looks through the entries loaded so far, so narrow the kind or dates to reach older ones quickly. Entries stay in the organisation's log after the member who made them has left or been deleted.
